In 2018, I was working as a Regional Director for a neighborhood development corporation, but deep down, I knew my career no longer aligned with my dreams.

One day, I took a leap of faith: I quit my job, decided to live off my savings, and trusted myself to figure it out. Armed with scrap hair and a vision, I created my very first wig on a cap. I posted a picture on Facebook, and to my surprise, I received seven orders almost instantly.

By the time I finished my second wig (hand-sewn!), I was in tears—not from frustration, but from the realization that I was stepping into my purpose. I invested in a sewing machine, taught myself the art of crafting professional-quality wig units, and from that moment, The Hair Excellence Boutique was born.
